Hybrid Flow

Apps

Shopify apps built around real business needs.

We build custom Shopify apps for businesses with requirements that off-the-shelf apps cannot meet, as well as public apps for the Shopify App Store, all with a focus on a smooth, intuitive user experience.

This could involve improving an internal workflow, connecting Shopify to another system, adding custom storefront functionality or developing a new app product from scratch.

We can handle the full build, including product planning, UX, frontend and backend development, API integrations, billing, deployment and App Store submission, and we provide ongoing maintenance and support. We also have experience integrating AI into our apps - just take a look at Reviewant below.

Hybrid Flow has multiple 5-star rated apps on the Shopify App Store under our belt. See a few examples below:

MapMigo (★★★★★ - Reviews )

Public Shopify app · store locator · client work

App Store ↗

We were approached late 2025 with the goal of building a revolutionary store locator app for the Shopify App Store. This was already a crowded niche, so initial discussions with the client centred around the fact that we both knew we needed something strong. What are other store locators missing about usability and great merchant experience?

We settled on a few key points. The first was the bulk import procedure. Stores often need to import large numbers of locations through spreadsheets, and competing apps struggle to make this a smooth process: either individual rows fail silently or whole imports fail without strong user feedback as to why. The process isn't guided step-by-step. In MapMigo, we solved this through a multi-stage import wizard that guides users every step of the way. A huge logic layer pushes rows through fuzzy validation and fixing that catches and resolves problems automatically. The rare issues that can't be resolved through this process are caught early and communicated clearly to the user at exactly the stage they occur.

The second issue we solved was API costs. As store locators require an external map API, costs can spiral for merchants if the app isn't well optimised. We spotted a fun engineering challenge here and we rose to it: what can we do in caching, batching and query optimisation to keep expensive API costs to a minimum? This was successful, and API costs are cheaper for MapMigo than any competitor.

Finally, a comprehensive suite of customisation and configuration tools allows merchants to tailor their store locator to their needs like never before.

MapMigo has already grown to over 1000 active users and boasts a perfect 5* review score on the App Store. You can see more here: https://apps.shopify.com/mapmigo

Section Link (★★★★★ - Reviews )

Public Shopify app · theme management · Hybrid Flow product

App Store ↗

Section Link was our first proprietary App Store project.

The problem the app needed to solve was that Shopify sites often have duplicate content in sections on different pages, with no easy way to link these identical sections together. This means that merchants often have to manually edit these sections one-by-one, which is tedious and time consuming. The Section Link app solves this problem by linking sections together such that edits to one section are automatically made to others. It's currently the only app of its kind on the Shopify App Store, and boasts a perfect 5-star review score.

Key engineering challenges included automating updates efficiently - the app needed to be able to quickly scan data for pages that need updates, and perform the update with the least computational effort possible, because otherwise scaling the app would have resulted in logjams and crashes. We also needed to ensure premium user experience, which we did with an innovative, smooth drag-and-drop editor and easy-to-read analytics.

Reviewant

Public Shopify app · review analysis · Hybrid Flow product

App Store ↗

Reviewant is the first ever review sentiment analysis app on the Shopify App Store, powered by AI.

We wanted to build something that involves AI partly to develop our skills in this area, so that we can offer AI-based integrations to clients, but also because we spotted a genuine gap in Shopify's merchant landscape. Review scores can only tell you so much about what your customers really think about your product, and if you want more detailed insights, you have to trawl through dozens, hundreds or even thousands of reviews yourself.

Reviewant solves this problem in a single click, generating reports that cover sentiment not just on products, but on topics. Do your customers think you deliver quickly? Do your customers think your products are reliable? That they're good value for money? Not only can you find out whether sentiment is positive or negative, you can even find what specific emotion customers tie to these topics. Disappointment, anger, frustration, or trust, relief, joy?
